As of Sunday morning, flooding and landslides in Lang Son Province had killed one person. More than 2,500 houses and auxiliary structures had been affected, while thousands of residents had been evacuated from dangerous areas.

More than 1,100 hectares of crops and forestry had also been affected, with thousands of livestock and poultry killed. Several transport routes have been disrupted.

In Quang Ninh Province, prolonged heavy rain since Saturday night has triggered landslides in several areas, including mountainous and urban locations. Heavy rain also knocked down four low-voltage electricity poles in Ba Che Commune.

Meanwhile, in Hai Phong, local authorities and border guard forces remain on duty and are closely monitoring the storm. Boats and fishing vessels have been banned from going to sea.

At 6 p.m. Sunday, the typhoon was about 155 km east-southeast of Quang Ninh Province and 165 km east of Hai Phong City. It is forecast to move little over the next several hours.
