Welcoming the delegation at Noi Bai International Airport were Chairman of the Presidential Office Le Khanh Hai and Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Hoang Long.
This is President Min Aung Hlaing’s first official visit to Vietnam since Myanmar held its general election in January 2026 and formed a new government in April. It is also the highest-level exchange between the two countries since 2019.
The visit is expected to make an important contribution to strengthening the traditional friendship and Comprehensive Cooperation Partnership between Vietnam and Myanmar, enhancing political trust, and expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
