Addressing a working session with the committee’s standing members in Hanoi on Wednesday reviewing its key tasks for this year and the 2026–2031 tenure, Mr. Man appreciated the committee’s proactive and responsible performance in recent months.
He said the committee must continue to closely follow the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the Resolution of its first Party Congress for the 2025–2030 tenure, and implement the legislative program of the 16th NA.
The top legislator emphasized that oversight should unlock resources, not only to point out violations but also to identify bottlenecks, their causes, and solutions.
The Chairman suggested that during this term, the Economic and Financial Committee prioritize oversight, focusing on high-risk areas with significant impacts. “The committee must help the NA design mechanisms that are both safe for development and flexible enough to mobilize resources, while ensuring transparency, accountability, and risk control,” said Mr. Man.
The NA Chairman also requested that the committee build itself into a strong institution in expertise, data capability, and analytical capacity.
