The initiative aims to encourage teachers to strengthen their English proficiency through self-study, supporting the Government's intention to make English a second language in schools by 2030 while promoting a culture of lifelong learning across the education sector.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong said that pursuant to the Government's approval of the project, the Ministry has developed implementation plans, assessed teachers' language proficiency, and expanded cooperation with organizations and businesses to develop professional skills.

One of the project's key solutions is the improvement of the abilities of foreign language teachers. Through the program, educators will have free access to an English self-study platform jointly developed by the Ministry and Atlantic Group.

Under the program's roadmap, teachers can register from July 13 to July 20. The self-study period will run until August 22, followed by a closing and recognition ceremony on September 18.
