There will be three major events including the opening ceremony, the Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa sea festival in May 2019 and the closing ceremony in late 2019. Cultural and tourism activities held during the year are expected to help the province realize the target of welcoming 7 million visitors including 3 million foreigners in 2019. Addressing the opening ceremony, Le Duc Vinh, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee and Chief Organizer, said: “Khanh Hoa will be the main venue hosting major activities of the 2019 National Tourism Year which aims to promote Vietnam’s marine tourism potential. We will try our best to promote the values of tangible and intangible cultures as well as tourism resources and products to attract more tourists.”
