The event is Nha Trang’s highlight activity to respond the National Tourism Year 2019 program. Besides main activities, which will be held nightly at the April 2 Square, some 50 arts and sports programmes will take place, including a swimming tournament, a bamboo basket boat race, a fishing competition, and traditional games. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Dac Tai, said: “Nha Trang sea festival emphasizes sea culture which was formed through the development of coastal community. Sea culture, a spiritual inner strength, that helps people survive and develop, needs to be preserved and developed.”
