Under the first phase of the program, construction began on 108 schools in 2025. The second phase, scheduled for 2026, is expected to include the construction of 121 additional schools.
Deputy Prime Minister Chau directed that all schools under Phase 1 be completed by August 30, 2026, while those under Phase 2 must be finished by August 30, 2027.
“I request that the construction and operation of schools under Phase 1 be carried out in strict accordance with the directions of the Party General Secretary and State President. At the same time, the responsibilities of agencies, organizations, and individuals that fail to fulfill their assigned tasks must be clearly identified and reported to competent authorities by September 2026,” he said.
