A representative of the airport said the new arrangement follows a practice already adopted at many major airports around the world to help shorten immigration processing time and optimize traffic through the immigration control area. With the introduction of the dedicated lanes, immigration clearance time has been cut to just four to five minutes.
On Monday, Noi Bai International Airport introduced new designated pick-up and drop-off zones, with separate areas assigned for different types of vehicles, in a move aimed at easing traffic congestion around the airport.
