Mr. Lam briefed participants on Vietnam’s recent achievements and development priorities, reaffirming the country’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2045.
Nguyen Van Thai from Wellington said he hopes to see more agreements and partnerships in trade, economics, science and technology, knowledge sharing, and education.
“Those are the areas we are particularly looking forward to,” said Thai.
Nguyen Lam Giang, Co-Chair of the Vietnam Knowledge Network in New Zealand, expressed hope that the visit would open up new opportunities for cooperation.
“I hope this visit will help foster stronger cooperation in education, research, and innovation, while creating more opportunities for young Vietnamese intellectuals in New Zealand to thrive,” she said.
