Ambassador Ayala said the visit sends a strong message of friendship and a shared commitment to building closer and more dynamic bilateral ties in the years ahead.

She noted that the visit is particularly significant given the steady development of Vietnam-Panama relations over the past decades, with exchanges and cooperation expanding in areas such as tourism, people-to-people ties and education.

According to Ambassador Ayala, President Mulino’s visit offers an important opportunity for the two countries to deepen cooperation and political dialogue, enhance mutual understanding, and translate the friendship built over more than five decades into new areas of strategic and practical cooperation.

She said Panama could serve as a strategic gateway for Vietnamese businesses seeking greater access to Latin American and Caribbean markets, while Vietnam is becoming an increasingly important partner for Panama in Southeast Asia.

Ambassador Ayala expressed confidence that President Mulino’s visit will help open a new chapter in Panama-Vietnam relations and lay a stronger foundation for long-term cooperation between the two countries.
