The visit, made at the invitation of Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, aims to boost bilateral cooperation in all fields, especially in politics, economics, and trade. Vietnam and Iran established diplomatic ties in August, 1973.
