The meeting adopted several important documents, including a resolution on renewing Vietnam’s development model, with specific targets set for 2030, 2035, and 2045, and a long-term vision toward 2130. Under this vision, Vietnam aims to become a highly developed socialist nation that is modern, civilized, culturally distinctive, innovative, and sustainable.
The Party Central Committee also approved a resolution on building and developing Vietnam into a strong maritime nation. The document outlines goals through 2030, with a vision to 2045, along with nine groups of tasks and solutions.
Senior Party members also endorsed a conclusion on further improving the overall organizational structure of the political system and the two-tier local government model. The document reaffirms that restructuring and streamlining the political system to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and performance is the right course of action, in line with the country’s development requirements in the new era.
It describes the reform as a strategic decision and a profound transformation in the Party’s leadership and governance methods, the organization of state power, and modern national governance.
The meeting also agreed in principle to establish Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh provinces as centrally governed cities.
