Party leader Trong met with Indonesian President Joko Widodo and other senior leaders and attended the Indonesia-Vietnam Business Forum. Both sides agreed to cooperate closely with other ASEAN members in maintaining ASEAN’s unity and promoting the bloc’s central and leading role in the regional structure.

In Myanmar, Party leader Trong met President Htin Kyaw and leaders of Myanmar’s parliament and political parties. The two sides discussed measures to enhance bilateral relations and pledged to support each other in regional and global forums. Mr. Trong noted that the establishment of a comprehensive cooperative partnership will be a new landmark, bringing the relationship between the two countries to a new height.
