Cooperation must ensure investment efficiency and balance the interests of all stakeholders, including the State, businesses, and investors, while complying with Vietnamese and international law, the PM said during a reception in Hanoi on Friday for Tengku Muhammad Taufik, President and Group CEO of Malaysia’s national oil and gas company PETRONAS.
He congratulated PETRONAS and the Vietnam National Industry-Energy Group (Petrovietnam) on signing a Strategic Alliance Agreement, elevating their cooperation from individual projects to a strategic partnership spanning the entire energy value chain. He said the agreement would help translate the Vietnam-Malaysia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership into concrete cooperation.
PM Hung urged both sides to activate their joint coordination mechanism soon and turn the agreement into practical, effective projects and cooperation programs.
