PM calls on Lotte Group to establish start-up fund in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc called on the Republic of Korea’s Lotte Group to invest in manufacturing projects in Vietnam and persuade Republic of Korean leaders to encourage imports of Vietnamese goods, especially farm produce.

At a reception in Hanoi on Tuesday for Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin, Mr. Phuc said Vietnam is encouraging the development of start-ups, hoping that Lotte will support the movement in Vietnam by setting up a fund for young entrepreneurs.

Mr. Shin promised to help realise the Vietnamese PM’s start-up fund idea in the near future.

He said his visit to Vietnam is meant to foster Lotte Group investment projects in Vietnam, all of which use advanced technologies and are environment-friendly.
