The PM praised the rescuers from the Vietnam People's Army and People’s Public Security, saying that Vietnam, with its new standing and capabilities, is ready to contribute to addressing humanity's shared concerns. Vietnamese rescue team's professionalism, bravery, and compassion remains in the heart of Venezuelan people and international friends, and are the best examples of a self-reliant, courageous, and responsible Vietnam.
"A nation's strength is measured not only by the size of its economy, its defense capability, or technological prowess, but also by its ability to fulfill shared responsibilities with the international community. Vietnam must be built into a resilient and compassionate, confident and peace-loving, developed yet responsible country. It must integrate deeply into the world but still preserve its national identity. I am confident that our officers and soldiers will continue to uphold their noble qualities, demonstrating loyalty to the Fatherland, dedication to the people, responsibility towards our international friends."
According to Prime Minister Hung, Vietnam must consider responses to non-traditional security threats an integral part of its national capabilities, which will help build trust and boost foreign relations.
He also stressed the need to develop specialized teams in search and rescue and emergency medical response, that meet international standards and are capable of rapid deployment and multinational coordination.
