Prime Minister Hung chaired a working session with the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee to review the province’s socio-economic performance, public investment disbursement, the two-tier local administration model, enforcement of the Politburo's Resolution No. 57 on breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, and measures to remove development bottlenecks.
In his concluding remarks, PM Hung emphasized the need to clearly define a growth model suitable to the unique advantages of Lang Son as a border province. "The province must focus on attracting industrial and tourism projects, and accelerate their implementation."
"It is crucial to urgently and effectively implement the just approved and adjusted provincial planning to organize the spatial model according to 'one development axis, two economic corridors, and three socio-economic zones.' In particular, the planning of existing industrial zones and clusters must be thoroughly reviewed to attract investment. Investment promotion programs must be implemented with domestic and Chinese investors," he said.
The Prime Minister asked Lang Son to disburse 100% of public investment by the end of 2026 and prioritize resources for strategic transportation infrastructure projects connecting inter-regions and internationally.
He also requested the vigorous, substantive, and effective implementation of Resolution No. 57, develop tourism into a key economic sector together with the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son, Mau Son National Tourist Area, and other distinctive border tourism products.
