The visit, at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will take place on Saturday and Sunday and will mark PM Hung’s first participation in a BRICS Summit.

The trip is significant both multilaterally and bilaterally, reflecting Vietnam’s growing role, standing and responsible contributions to addressing global challenges and helping shape the future of the region and the world.

BRICS comprises 11 major emerging economies and developing countries, including Brazil, China and India. The grouping provides a platform for cooperation and consultation on global and regional issues, as well as international political and economic governance.
