Toxic waste water from the Formosa steel plant caused massive fish deaths and affected the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of people in the central coastal region.
The company has admitted its responsibility, made a public apology to the Vietnamese government and people, paid 500 million USD in compensation, and taken steps to correct environmental violations.
