In his opening remarks at a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on Wednesday, Mr. Pompeo said the US campaign to pressure Pyongyang is bearing fruit and the pressure will not change until credible steps are taken toward the complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. Mr. Pompeo said the US has no intention of making concessions to Pyongyang in talks scheduled for June 12 in Singapore. Mr. Pompeo said he is optimistic about a result beyond expectations.
