President hosts banquet for Egyptian counterpart

(VOVWORLD) - President Tran Dai Quang said Vietnam highly values Egypt’s role as a founding member of the Non-aligned Movement and in outlining the Movement’s basic principles of independence, national sovereignty, and cooperation for mutual benefit and peace among nations.

At a State banquet in Hanoi on Wednesday to welcome visiting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and his delegation, Mr. Quang said he believes that with the resolve of both sides’ leaders, bilateral cooperation will continue to develop in a substantial manner, meeting the aspiration and interests of the two peoples and contributing to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation, and development in each region and the world as a whole.

President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi replied that Egypt is always willing to enhance its ties with Vietnam for the sake of common interests of the two nations.
