Mr. Quyet said the rapid growth of social media and artificial intelligence (AI) requires the press to be more agile, timely, and proactive in meeting new information demands. He called on press agencies to strengthen their presence in the digital space to deliver Party guidelines and State laws and policies effectively to the public.

He said the press should continue to be a trusted source of official, timely, and accurate information, helping people distinguish fact from misinformation and countering fake news and harmful online content.

“The media must remain firmly on the front line in safeguarding the Party's ideological foundation and maintaining strict information discipline. Our strategic direction is to strengthen the country's resilience by proproactively taking the initiative in cyberspace with timely, persuasive reporting grounded in verified facts.”
