Speaking to the press ahead of the visit, Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongsavanh Phomvihane said the trip is expected to create new momentum for economic cooperation in key areas, including infrastructure and transport connectivity, trade and investment, energy, education, and tourism.

During the visit, the two sides are expected to sign and exchange more than 10 cooperation agreements and documents.

The Laos-Vietnam Investment Promotion Conference will be held with the participation of around 1,000 representatives.
