Concluding the meeting, the Prime Minister acknowledged positive socio-economic results in August and the first eight months of 2026, while noting growing pressure to renew the growth model.
He called for proactive price management, particularly for essential goods, services and energy, while urging the Ministry of Finance to review measures to keep inflation under control.
The Prime Minister urged for continued tax and fee support, faster VAT refunds, simplified customs procedures, stronger measures against transfer pricing, and full disbursement of public investment funds.
Mr. Hung stressed the need to urgently submit a Government decree integrating relevant implementation guidelines, particularly mechanisms governing investment and recurrent spending and requested the prompt completion of plans for the petroleum distribution system, the resumption of operations at biofuel production plants, and faster progress on key electricity and oil and gas projects.
Regarding preparations for the new school year, the Prime Minister asked authorities to ensure the timely organization of opening ceremonies and the inauguration of the first phase of boarding schools offering multiple levels of education in mainland border communes, as well as the launch of the second phase as scheduled.
He also called for adequate supplies of textbooks, particularly in remote and disadvantaged areas.
