The government leader made the request while chairing a working session with the Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee on Thursday, which focused on reviewing the city’s socio-economic development. its double-digit growth target, and solutions to address difficulties, obstacles, and delayed projects.

Speaking at the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that the Government places special importance on achieving double-digit growth in localities, particularly the country's major growth engines, including Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Prime Minister, the system of policies, mechanisms, and action programs is now largely in place. The key task is to conduct a thorough assessment of performance during the first five months of the year across all sectors, including industry, construction, trade, services, agriculture, and other fields that directly contribute to economic growth.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung emphasized the need to accurately identify shortcomings, limitations, and bottlenecks hindering growth, while carefully reviewing the measures Hanoi has taken to resolve difficulties and challenges. Based on these assessments, the Government will work closely with the city to address recommendations and proposals falling under the authority of central agencies, ministries, and sectors.

He underscored that Hanoi should aim not only to achieve this year's growth targets but also to build a solid foundation for its long-term, sustainable development in the years ahead.
