On Sunday, local authorities and emergency response teams continued recovery operations, focusing on restoring infrastructure and assisting affected residents.
On Co To Special Zone, located more than 60 kilometers offshore, wind gusts of Force 9 to 10 and waves reaching 2.5 to 4 meters knocked out power across the island from 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Electricity was restored later on the morning of Sunday by the Quang Ninh Power Company.
Early Saturday, local officials and emergency forces inspected fishing harbors, hotels, ports, and other vulnerable areas, while border guard units remained on standby for any emergency.
Across the rest of Quang Ninh province, authorities mobilized maximum resources to clear damaged infrastructure, restore traffic, and assist local communities.
Earlier, at around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, rescue teams successfully evacuated 11 crew members from six fishing boats that had drifted off course due to the storm near Van Ninh Port, bringing them safely ashore in Mong Cai 2 Ward.
Although the storm has weakened, Quang Ninh authorities continue to maintain 24-hour emergency response teams, prioritizing repairs to the power grid, reopening critical transport routes, and preparing for the ongoing risks of urban flooding, landslides, and flash floods caused by prolonged heavy rainfall.
