Public places are hosting performances recalling the wartime. A parade called “Immortal Battalion” will be held in Moscow and other cities.
93-year old Veteran Vladimir Ivanov said: “My comrades have passed away. Only me here now. But I know they are telling me to keep the tradition. I still go to the Culture Park to commemorate the victory.”
Security has been tightened in public places with the addition of soldiers, police, and special task forces.
