Russia considers ASEAN important security partner

He noted that the viewpoint was adopted by defense ministers of Russia and ASEAN countries at their informal meeting in April where both sides agreed to take measures to develop Russia-ASEAN relations in counter-terrorism, maritime security, and assistance in disaster relief operations.
