Russia: US needs to reconsider order of consulate closure

(VOVWORLD) - Russia’s Foreign Ministry on Sunday asked the United States to reconsider its decision to close some Russian diplomatic facilities in the US, adding Washington will be fully accountable for worsening bilateral relations.

The Ministry said Russia treats these developments as a hostile act and a grave violation by Washington of international law and will respond duly. The US’s move is seen as a retaliation to Moscow’s demand that the US cut diplomatic presence in Russia.
