Samsung Electronics marks 10-year presence in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Samsung Vietnam’s success is the success of the Vietnamese government’s continuous reform to improve the country’s investment environment, said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh at a ceremony on Friday to mark the 10th anniversary of Samsung Electronics in Vietnam.

He reiterated that Vietnam always encourages the Republic of Korean firms in general and Samsung Group in particular to open and expand their businesses in Vietnam. He urged Korean businesses to transfer their technologies, ensure Vietnamese workers’ rights and benefits, and pay attention to vocational training and social security. Deputy PM Minh also urged them to support Vietnamese businesses to penetrate the global value chains and increase product localization.
