During the meeting, Mr. Quyet provided an overview of Vietnam's media landscape and discussed the challenges the sector faces amidst rapid digital transformation. He applauded the cooperative activities between ABC and Vietnamese broadcasters—specifically VOV and Vietnam Television (VTV)—highlighting initiatives such as training, the sharing of digital transformation expertise, podcast production, and multi-platform content development.
The senior Party official proposed increasing the exchange of high-quality radio, television, and digital content, and sharing programs that showcase each country's land, people, history, culture, development achievements, and policies, as well as the outcomes of the Vietnam-Australia partnership.
He also called for expanded collaboration in producing and co-producing programs, special features, podcasts, and multimedia content on topics of mutual interest, while urging ABC to step up human resource training and professional development for Vietnamese media personnel.
The President of ABC pledged to continue to cooperate closely with Vietnamese media organizations—including the Voice of Vietnam and Vietnam Television—and work together within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU).
