ENV’s Deputy Director Nguyen Phuong Dung called on the public to stop buying products made from sea turtle as well as from other wild animals. Such products will not make buyers more fashionable or respected, but will stimulate illegal poaching and exploitation of sea turtles and push them one step closer to extinction, she said. Sea turtles can only exist if there is no longer a demand for products made from them.
