The festival will open on Friday with a ceremony that includes the announcement of a national record for the largest mass performance of the traditional Sinh Tien stick dance, followed by a bonfire night, a fireworks display, and an exhibition of OCOP (One Commune One Product) products.
On Saturday, visitors can explore the famous Can Cau Market, experience the cultures of local ethnic communities, sample traditional cuisine, take part in folk games, and watch competitions for the best ceremonial food trays and fruit displays. A night market will also be held.
Sunday’s activities will include a traditional brocade embroidery contest, the “Conquering Din Phang Peak” mountain-climbing challenge, and the festival’s closing ceremony with awards presentations.
A major highlight of this year’s event is Si Ma Cai Fruit Week, which runs through July 5 and offers visitors the chance to tour orchards and sample locally grown fruits, including pears and plums from the region’s renowned fruit-growing areas.
