A highlight of the event was the Vietnam-Laos cultural, sports, and tourism festival, attended by 9 Vietnamese provinces and 10 Lao provinces. Photos of people and potentials of 9 provinces sharing a border with Laos were on display.
President Tran Dai Quang awarded orders and medals to 88 Lao leaders and inaugurated the Vietnam-Laos revolutionary historical relic site in Lao Kho hamlet, Yen Chau district.
Activities will continue through Friday.
