Organized by the Swedish Embassy in Hanoi, Business Sweden, and the Karolinska Institutet, the event will bring together healthcare leaders, doctors, researchers, universities, and businesses from both countries to review achievements and explore new areas of cooperation.

Discussions will focus on digital health, precision medicine, sustainable healthcare, hospital modernization, medical research, and workforce development, building on decades of cooperation in hospital construction, medical training, and healthcare services.

Swedish companies and organizations, including AstraZeneca, Ericsson, Getinge, and Karolinska Institutet will share expertise in pharmaceuticals, medical technology, digital connectivity, and healthcare research.

Marcus Persson, Trade Commissioner and Country Director of Business Sweden in Vietnam, said closer cooperation among businesses, healthcare providers, and researchers could help strengthen capacity, accelerate digital transformation, and develop solutions that meet the real needs of Vietnam’s health system.

Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam Johan Ndisi said the greatest legacy of 50 years of cooperation is not only the facilities built, but also the knowledge, skills, and relationships that continue to be nurtured. He said the task now is to build on that foundation to improve access to quality healthcare and enhance people’s lives.

The Health Week aims to strengthen partnerships, promote knowledge exchange, and translate Swedish expertise and innovation into practical solutions that improve healthcare quality and access in Vietnam.
