Popular destinations like Nui Coc lake, Ba Be National Tourism Area, the Special National Historical Site of Dinh Hoa Safety Zone, and the Special National Historical Site of Cho Don Safety Zone saw an encouraging growth in visitor numbers. Since the beginning of the year, the two special national historical sites have welcomed 1,000 tour groups, approximately 40,000 visitors.
According to local authorities, the province's expanded development space following Vietnam’s merging of provincial and commune-level administrative units has created new opportunities to develop integrated regional tourism products in Thai Nguyen.
Trieu Kim Xuyen, Vice Chairwoman of the Thai Nguyen Tourism Association, said: "The merger of Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen has created new momentum for tourism development, enabling us to build a diverse and attractive portfolio of regional tourism products. This will not only give visitors a wider range of experiences but also promote the cultural, historical, and natural heritage of the newly expanded province, creating a strong foundation for tourism to grow even more in the coming years."
Building on its strong growth momentum and expanded development opportunities, Thai Nguyen is well positioned to accelerate tourism growth in the second half of the year. The province's greatest potential lies in transforming its rich historical, cultural, and natural assets into integrated tourism experiences that encourage visitors to extend their stays and return for future visits.
