At a working session in Hanoi on Wednesday with TikTok Vietnam Director Nguyen Lam Thanh, Tuan welcomed the company’s plans to expand investment, localize operations, and strengthen compliance with Vietnamese regulations. He said the Ministry fully supports TikTok’s preparing the technological infrastructure needed to transition certain operations to a domestic enterprise model.

Tuan praised TikTok for helping small and medium-sized enterprises, household businesses, individual entrepreneurs, content creators, and young start-up founders tap new digital business models.

Thanh said TikTok is exploring investment opportunities in Vietnam’s logistics sector, digital finance, and the Vietnam International Financial Centre (VIFC). He added that by shifting operations from a cross-border model to a domestic enterprise model, TikTok hopes to improve data infrastructure, e-invoicing systems, and related management mechanisms, while improving business transparency and operational efficiency.
