Attending the meeting, Party General Secretary and State President To Lam noted that efforts to detect and handle violations have been carried out rigorously, with no forbidden zones and no exceptions, while placing greater emphasis on asset recovery.

He said greater emphasis has also been placed on asset recovery, while coordination among relevant agencies has become increasingly effective, systematic and substantive.

Regarding key tasks for the second half of the year, the Vietnamese top leader said: “We must strengthen prevention from an early stage and from afar, linking grassroots power control with data-based oversight. Party Committees of provinces and cities and provincial-level Steering Committees must enhance power control and regularly oversee the exercise of duties and authority at the grassroots level."

"Strong decentralization is necessary to serve people and businesses more quickly and effectively. However, decentralization must go in parallel with data control, accountability, and oversight authority. Oversight must be carried out appropriately, without creating avoidance of responsibility or the shifting of duties,” noted Mr. Lam.

Mr. Lam also called for continued efforts to enhance administrative reform and digital transformation in conjunction with anti-corruption, anti-wastefulness, and anti-negative practices.

He urged the early completion of sharing national databases and ministries, sectors, and localities to ensure coordination, and effective use, monitoring, and oversight.
