The Vietnamese leader, who is paying a state visit to Russia, welcomed the two countries’ agreement on orientations for maritime cooperation for 2026-2030. He called on relevant agencies to study the development of efficient maritime transport routes and strengthen links between ports, shipping companies and logistics firms, helping reduce costs and facilitate the movement of goods.
Mr. Lam also proposed cooperation in shipbuilding, ship repair, maintenance and technology transfer, in line with Vietnam’s needs and conditions. He called for greater efficiency at the Vietnam-Russia Tropical Centre and stronger cooperation in marine science, biodiversity, environmental protection, climate change, new materials and sustainable technologies.
Earlier in Moscow, the Vietnamese leader, his wife and a high-level Vietnamese delegation laid flowers at the Monument to President Ho Chi Minh in Ho Chi Minh Square and at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.
