President Ho Chi Minh is affectionately called "Uncle Ho" by the Vietnamese to reflect profound respect and his image as an approachable member of every Vietnamese family.

General Secretary of Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam attended and delivered a speech at the ceremony in the Hung Kings Temple Special National Relic Site. The top leader recalled the words Uncle Ho spoke to the Vanguard Division at Hung Kings Temple: "The Hung Kings founded the country; we must work together to defend it."

Based on this teaching, General Secretary and President Lam called upon every generation of Vietnamese people to preserve the legacy of their forefathers and foster the country's continued development; to harness the intellect, talent, and creativity of the Vietnamese people; and to boost productivity, master technology, and build an economy characterized by high competitiveness and resilience.

"In Uncle Ho’s teachings, the phrase ‘together’ reminds us of the power of great national unity. Nation-building and national defense are the collective undertaking of all Vietnamese people—whether residing in the homeland or across the globe. The bonds of kinship and the shared sense of destiny must be nurtured through mutual trust, sharing, and opportunities to contribute to the country," Mr. Lam said.

"Unity must begin with listening to the people, upholding their right to mastery, ensuring fairness, and respecting the diversity of communities. Every individual must have the conditions to realize their potential, have their efforts recognized, and share in the fruits of development. Practical care must be extended to compatriots in remote and isolated areas and to those facing hardship. When citizens see their own future reflected in the nation’s future, the bond of great national unity becomes even stronger."

On this occasion, top leader To Lam, together with other delegates, cut the ribbon to inaugurate the monument titled “Uncle Ho and the Festival of National Unity” at the Hung Kings Temple Special National Relic Site in Phu Tho Province.
