General Secretary and President Lam, Head of the Central Steering Committee on Reviewing Practice and Studying Amendments and Supplements to the Party Statute, presided over the Committee's first meeting in Hanoi on Wednesday.

In his concluding remarks, the top leader said the goal is to draft a Party Statute that is scientific, rigorous, concise, practical, and enduring; one that strengthens the organization, ensures smoother operations, clarifies responsibilities, improves power oversight, enhances the quality of Party members and grassroots organizations, and tightens the bond between the Party and the people.

He called for a focus on four major areas: fundamental issues regarding the Party, Party members, grassroots Party organizations, and the relationship with the people; the Party's organizational structure and leadership methods within the new model; Party inspection, supervision, discipline, and power oversight; and digital transformation, specific sectors, and technical aspects of the Statute.

The General Secretary and President expressed confidence that the Steering Committee would successfully fulfill its duties and prepare a high-quality draft of the Party Statute, contributing to building a clean, strong Party that maintains close ties with the people and possesses the capacity to lead the country into the new era.
