At a working session in Hanoi on sports and physical development, he emphasized that the health and physical fitness of the population should be regarded as an integral component of national strength.
He said sports and physical development must be closely linked to strategies for human development, population quality, and workforce development. The top leader called for greater attention to school sports, the allocation of spaces for physical activity in industrial parks and residential areas, and a long-term strategy for high-performance sports.
He also requested that progress be reviewed every six months to address obstacles promptly and ensure that the proposed measures deliver tangible, measurable, and sustainable results.
