Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang said this will be the first state visit to Denmark by a Vietnamese Party leader and Mr. To Lam’s first official visits to the EU and Belgium as General Secretary and President.

The visits will send a strong message about Vietnam’s foreign policy in a new era of national development. They are expected to strengthen political trust and expand opportunities for cooperation in trade, investment, science, technology, innovation, green growth, and sustainable development.

They will also give Vietnam an opportunity to strengthen its relations with Denmark, the EU, and Belgium and move toward more substantive, effective cooperation, backed by strong political will and shared strategic priorities.

Deputy Foreign Minister Hang said European partners have strengths in technology, governance, and sustainable development solutions, while Vietnam is working to reshape its growth model and improve productivity and competitiveness.

She expressed hope that the visits would mark a strategic shift, build political trust at the highest level, and make cooperation more effective and substantive. They are also expected to create new opportunities for Vietnam and its partners to strengthen their development capabilities and strategic autonomy.
