The Ministry of Education and Training held a send-off ceremony in Hanoi on Tuesday for the Vietnamese team.
Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Quan said this year’s competition features new technological challenges and approaches. It will also give the Vietnamese delegation an opportunity to learn about trends in artificial intelligence, digital transformation and other technologies that are directly affecting skills training for workers.
The competition is expected to bring together more than 1,400 contestants from over 70 countries and territories, competing in 64 skills.
Vietnam’s 55-member delegation includes 12 contestants competing in 11 skills, including mechatronics, refrigeration and air conditioning, mechanical engineering CAD, fashion technology and renewable energy.
