Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Xuan Luu emphasized that the recognition of Chuyen My and Son Dong craft villages as members of the World Crafts Cities network is an international acknowledgment of the cultural values, craftsmanship, creativity, and sustainable vitality of Vietnam’s traditional craft villages.
It also opens opportunities for Vietnam to promote the image of its people and culture to international friends, foster cultural exchanges, develop craft village tourism, expand export markets, and enhance the international brand value of Hanoi’s handicrafts.
