The event marks the 950th anniversary of the establishment of the Temple of Literature (1076–2026), regarded as Vietnam’s first university.
The “Garden of Light” presents an exhibition of lantern art, featuring artisans and craft villages from across Vietnam, including Cao Vien, Phu Vinh and Kim Son. Artisans from established craft centres in Hue, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City are also participating.
The installations, crafted from traditional materials such as bamboo, silk and do paper, are integrated with contemporary lighting techniques to create an immersive and culturally rich display. The program is open free to the public from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
