UN fails to bridge differences in month-long Libya talks

(VOVWORLD) - The month-long talks backed by the UN aimed at addressing differences between rival Libyan factions ended on Saturday with no progress towards stabilizing the country and paving the way for elections.

UN Envoy Ghassan Salame said that discussions would continue, adding that they have reached consensus on some areas but further discussions with the political leaderships inside Libya are still needed.
