The "Dioxin Remediation at Bien Hoa Airbase" project will receive an additional 130 million USD, raising the total US non-refundable aid for the project to about 430 million USD. Launched in 2019, the project has already achieved significant results, with 41 hectares certified as clean in accordance with the project's applicable standards and regulations.
For second project called "Support to Improve the Quality of Life for Persons with Disabilities in Provinces Heavily Sprayed with Agent Orange and Other Key Provinces," the agreement signed with the US Embassy secures 91 million USD in non-refundable aid.
The resources will help expand support activities—including healthcare, rehabilitation, social services, and community integration—and enhance capacity for implementing policies for persons with disabilities.
Initially, support activities will be rolled out in Ca Mau and Quang Ngai provinces and gradually expanded to other areas, subject to the project's scope and available resources.
