In a post on X, Witkoff said the United States would mediate technical-level negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv to advance efforts to end the conflict. Discussions will focus on post-conflict security arrangements, de-escalation, humanitarian initiatives, and further steps toward peace.
US negotiators are also expected to meet European officials and NATO representatives in Belgium this week to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine, Europe’s post-conflict security architecture, and financial support for Ukraine’s reconstruction.
