The talks are expected to focus on several key issues, including sanctions on Tehran, Iranian assets frozen overseas, and nuclear-related matters. But details regarding the members of the negotiating delegations have not been disclosed. Neither the Iranian government nor Pakistani mediators have officially confirmed the reported plan.
Speaking at the World Peace Forum in Beijing on Saturday, Iran's Ambassador to China, Rahmani Fazli, said that as the Strait of Hormuz is part of Iran’s territorial waters, the country will levy service charges on vessels passing through the waterway in accordance with international standards.
He stressed that these are not transit fees but are intended to cover routine operational costs, including maritime safety, navigation, and environmental protection—practices that are consistent with those of other major waterways around the world.
